Failed My First Round
February 21st, 2008
Just found out I failed REG too, by only 4 marks.
Also failed FAR and BEC in the past few months. The only one I passed was AUD.
Everyday I come home from work to spend all night glued to my desk doing MCQs until I feel like throwing up while my friends are getting rested up at home or partying out somewhere. It’s not fair.
I put in the time, and I put in the money for the cpa becker review.
And inspite of all this, I STILL failed.
All I want is to pass the CPA exam, find a job that pays more than peanuts and leave this hell hole. Why is passing the CPA exam so difficult?
I feel like giving up…

Hey,
You can not give up now. If you really want something good sometimes it takes a few failures to get it. At least you passed AUD. I failed all 4 parts the first time around and I refuse to give up. Like you, I took the becker review courses and studied my butt off and I still failed. So, this time around I am going to make sure I concentrate more on doing well on the simulations (for FAR, BEC, and AUD). And as for the BEC, I will make sure I go over and really understand the material because the bottom line is they make those damn exams tricky. Therefore, you have to really know the stuff to pass. So, keep on going and do not give up.
I used becker for regulation and i failed. Decided to use yeager cpa review. I am not sure if i will pass but i feel more confident. I feel like i understand the concepts better this time. Well, the only thing that matters is if i pass or fail. I would recommend Yeager cpa review. Becker does not do a very good job in regulation. I used them and passed the auditing and BEC but for some reason, they are not that good. I guess i need one on one help.
